Rotary Youth Exchange for the 2027-2028 School Year

What is Youth Exchange?

Rotary Clubs from around the world select one local student to be their ambassador abroad for the school year.  Camrose also receives a student from another Rotary club somewhere in the world. We are looking for host families!

Who Can be an Exchange Student?

We welcome applications from any ECCHS or STCA student. Students must be at least 16 years old by Dec 31st on the year they leave and be under 19 on July 1st of the year they return home. Students must not have already graduated high school.

Although the exact countries may vary slightly from year to year examples would be: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan

Families are expected to pay $4000 with 2 additional deposits of $500 that would be returned if unused and if the exchange is completed successfully. Flights, student Visas, medical insurance, school fees, room and board are inclusive.*  Students receive a monthly allowance from their host Rotary Club while abroad. Any costs incurred above that would be the responsibility of the family.  


The Rotary Clubs of Camrose want to select the BEST student to represent them and encourage all interested students to apply. Even if finances may be a barrier please apply.  There are potential fundraising opportunities to help support families.

Do NOT miss the mandatory student and parent meeting in September the year before the exchange. The link for the application form will be available at that meeting. Application deadline will be the end of September.


For the 2027 - 2028 exchange year, the mandatory meeting will be held at the Camrose  Rotary Youth Center  (4517 - 54 Street) on Thursday September 17 @ 7 PM. Interested students and their parents MUST attend.
